Recipe for a Turmeric Latte

Turmeric has several benefits, but the reason why this yellow spice is of interest to women with pelvic pain is studies suggest turmeric and its compounds may be able to help treat the condition. The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric are thought to reduce pain and swelling. Experts in integrative medicine also suggest turmeric helps maintain healthy estrogen levels and apparently turmeric is a great painkiller without side effects. A turmeric latte is therefore a great drink to have, especially in the colder winter months!

Ingredients (serves 1):

2 cups (500ml) coconut milk or almond milk (or any kind of milk!)
1teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of black pepper
1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup

Method: Add all ingredients to a small pan on a low heat, then stir for about 3 minutes until hot.
